I got the following things below for christmas, I also got a walmart giftcard to go get a cd my dad couldn't find that I want, I got a dark turquios sweater from my mom, I got two cross bracelets from my memaw, a pretty scarf from my memaw, a pair of camo pajama pants with deer on them,
and a fossil necklace from my cousins cole, kelli and family, huggable hangers from my cousin casey, beautiful pictures of my cousins london & hayden & braiden and I got beautiful picture frames for the pictures they gave me. a bag full of printer ink for my printer- im always running out of ink. oh and a really pretty christmas ornament to put on the christmas tree next year from my cousin selena. I got tuns of loot for christmas this year!!! im excited!!! got pretty everything I ask for!! it was a great christmas!!

we have a new addition to my mom's family. my cousin Mollie's 3RD BABY IS HERE!!! Mollie and the baby are doing fine!!! he was born friday evening while I was at work.

he is DANIEL LAWRENCE GARDNER 7lbs 7ozs 20.5 in. I cant wait to meet my new little cousin when they come home from vienna for the summer months this summer!!! the proud granddaddy- my mom's brother Tinker made it to vienna for christmas to be with mollie and thomas when Mollie had the baby, and they made it there just in time for the baby to arrive, tinker and kay left this week heading to Vienna, they are so excited that their 6th grand child is here!!

Hey everybody!

I guess some of you already know it...but our 6th grandchild, Thomas & Mollie's newest baby came last night!! Everyone is doing fine.

He's Daniel Lawrence Gardner, 7 lbs. 7 oz., 20.5 in., born Dec. 17.

Just wanted to get the word out. I suppose they will be posting pictures before long.

THANKED A FIREMAN TODAY... one of the Firemen who Responded To The Call To Our House In August

Tonight I got the wonderful opportunity to thank one of the firemen tonight at work who was one of the firemen who responded to the call to our house in august when we were in biloxi, he was in old navy, and I saw that his t-shirt said RESERVOIR FIRE DEPARTMENT on it and I talked to him for a min, I thanked him for being a fireman. every time I see one of those guys I am going to thank them.

You don't know what it's like to get one of those phone calls saying that the fire department is at your house while out of town until it happens to you. everything that could possibly be wrong goes through your mind in a matter of seconds. you immediately think the worst while trying to remain calm. We immediately began scrambling around for the car keys and headed to the car, almost left biloxi until we got a phone call saying it was a false alarm and the fire department was leaving. it's really scary to get a phone call like that when your out of town because you dont know what to do, you dont know weather to go ahead and leave and head home or to just remain calm and sit and wait for someone to call you with further instructions on weather or not you need to come home and that was exactly what we did.

SO ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU TO THE FIRE FIGHTERS AT THE RESERVOIR FIRE DEPARTMENT!! YOU ARE VERY MUCH APPRICIATED!!! THANK YOU FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO BEST!!

I know the fireman I spoke to tonight probably appriciated being thanked and being aknowledged. so any time you see a fire man take a minute to say thank you, I took a minute to say thank you not only because I appriciate what they do but also because they responded to a call to our house and I will be forever greatful to that group of fire fighters!!

I actually learned something from that fireman tonight, I learned that it's actually okay to have a false alarm because it actually means your alarm is working properly, and thats what you want, you dont want an alarm thats not working that doesnt go off when something happens that should set it off. He said it's good to know that whatever set it off, it went off like its suppose to that means its working. he said just about anything can set a smoke alarm off, it doesn't have to be smoke, he said it's possible that smoke is not even what set ours off, he said if something passes the alarm its going to go off. but when I told him about the black smudge along the scieling kind on the wall and scieling he said that sounds like a wire burned, I ask if it's possible that its mold and he said thats not very likely, he said it sounds like a wire burned, so what that tells me is that we have a malfunction from that air conditioner leak, water from the leak caused it to malfunction and the wires burned up. thats pretty much what he seems to think happened from what I told him. atleast we know now what happened and what didn't happen. We didn't even know about the leak until after the fact of the false alarm. so something tells me he is BINGO 100% right.

anyway, just thought I would tell ya'll that little piece of information.

An Over Due Written Update

hey everybody,

So... I haven't done a written update on here in quit a while, I think a written update is very much over due,

since the holidays have been upon us, I have been busy with thanksgiving, work, christmas shopping, work, working on some scrapbook projects- which I am finally done with. I went to a christmas concert at pinelake baptist church right down the road from my house where one of my former pastors from clarksdale is now the pastor at, a christian artist named Chris Tomlin was playing, CHRIS TOMLIN WAS AMAZING AS ALWAYS!!! CHRIS TOMLIN ALWAYS LEAVES US SPEECHLESS, HE IS JUST WOW!!! INCREDIBLE!!!

Anyway, I still have some christmas shopping to do, I haven't wrapped any christmas presents yet, but our christmas tree is up and decorated, I did all of the decorating on the tree! I've still got my mom & dad to christmas shop for then I will be done. then I have got to get busy wrapping presents. time is passing me by and I cant seem to get through. I haven't even made or sent out christmas cards so I've got to get on that as well this week.

oh yeah and I forgot to mention I finally got my laptop back, it's been gone since september getting fixed, we had to send it off to dell to get it fixed since its still under warranty and I'm so glad to finally have it back, I just got it back wednesday, so now I'm busy trying to get my printer and all that stuff loaded and set up on my laptop.

tomorrow we are canceling our directv and getting a new tv & internet service called U-VERSE through at&t. we are also turning off our house phone tomorrow afternoon, so starting tomorrow afternoon we will no longer have a house phone, so if you need us call our cell phones.

anyway, so I haven't been stuck with needles since highschool and had to this last week, OUCH!!!

I got really sick with a nasty Stomach Virus, and at first they thought it might be something else so they ran a bunch of blood test, a long list of blood test, you name it, they probably did it, everything from a CBC- Complete Blood Count, tested me for any kind of food poison like salmonella, they checked my blood sugar levels which I never understood the reason for that, because i've never been a diabetic and im still not, they checked electrolytes, which was understandable because I was extremely de-hydrated. anyway. my arm anyway is pretty dang sore from the blood work they did. they could only get one tube of blood from me because my veins collapsed because i was so de-hydrated.

they even ran some other blood test, just looking for any other red flags that could have been causing it, as you can imagine, when they said red flags I was pretty became frightened because everything else was negative, but everything was negative, everything checked out so they decided I just had a nasty virus. they gave a phenagrin shot, that mess burns like all get out which I new it would because I have had that stuff before after surgeries. im feeling a lot better now. I got real sick about 7am thursday morning, I was actually shocked it wasnt food poison because I had sick just a few short hours after eating at apple bees wednesday night. this virus was aweful. going to be making up for missing work, im sure I will be making up for it. I hate that right here at christmas time during busy season I had to call out sick, I hate it, but you know what, you gotta do, what you gotta do, your sick your sick, there is nothing you can do about it. but they said all of those were pretty routine with the possibility of stomach virus.

anyway, I got out sunday night with my cousins for the first time since I have been sick and we took them to the park to see the christmas lights at the park. we had fun the girls enjoyed it, they had a blast, london didnt want to leave the park, she ran all over the place. she wanted to swing and slide on the play ground at the park, but it was dark, so we didnt let her do that.

really glad to be feeling so much better now, I cant tell you how aweful it was, I cried and cried I felt so bad. my mom even had to stay home with me that day I got sick. Today- Monday was my first day back at work since I've been sick, it was a very long night at work, it was busy for a little while and then slowed down and made for a very long night, working later now the closer we get to christmas. even though I maybe ready for busy season to be over, im not ready for the cutting of hours again.
