Family Poem Written For The 11th Annual Cousin Reunion & Talent Show

Every Year About This Time Our Family Gets Together,
almost always in a different place.
We all have a good time you can tell by the smile on every face.



There are young Folks, old folks, aunts,
Uncles, and cousins galore.
We have some visitors-
just to add a few more.



We have "bubbas" and "Bubbettes", an EMT,
two doctors and a nurse,
Mechanics, Secretaries, Technicians,
And then there's Mama with her purse.



We have carpenters, teachers, students-
Even a house wife or two.
We also have a policeman who tries
to keep us in line no matter what we do.



There are accountants, Nursery workers, Newspaper
personnel, even a few beauty pageant winners,
state, and international.
And when they walk by the old boys become irrational.




Some go boating, swimming, and hiking.
We play games, too.
Some just scream and holler
"Ya-hoo"



Sometimes Folks get hurt and
sometimes they don't.
Just when we think they will
That's when they won't



Several times we have
gotten rained out,
But we always have a good
time there is no doubt.



Eleven Years Ago is when this
reunion did start.
Buddy and Yvonne thought this up.
Don't you think they were real smart?



We have a lot of different folk.
That is why we have so much fun.
You are all invited back next year.
